Nano4EARTH Roundtable Discussion on Coatings, Lubricants, Membranes, and Other Interface Technologies
The Nano4EARTH roundtable discussion on nanotechnology-enabled coatings, lubricants, membranes, and other interface technologies aims to identify fundamental knowledge gaps, needs, and opportunities at the interface of materials, technologies, and industrial processes. These needs could have a near-term impact on energy efficiency, sustainable development, and climate change.
Harmonisation of test methods for nano and advanced materials
Internationally harmonised and standardised test method are a prerequisite for safety and sustainability assessment of chemicals and materials. This workshop, organised by the Horizon Europe projects MACRAMÉ, nanoPASS and iCare in collaboration with the Malta Initiative, continues the journey of NanoHarmony and NANOMET workshops on OECD Test Guideline (TG) development for nanomaterials.
Public Meeting: Refreshing the NNI’s Environmental, Health, and Safety Research Strategy
The National Nanotechnology Coordination Office (NNCO), on behalf of the U.S. Government’s National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI), is hosting a public meeting to discuss the revision of the NNI’s 2011 Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Research Strategy. Individuals, non-governmental organizations, academic and research institutions, and the private sector interested in the responsible development of nanotechnology are encouraged to attend and contribute to creating an updated EHS Research Strategy.
Workshop on SAbyNA Safe-by-Design Guidance Platform
NIA members Gaiker, CEA and FIOH as part of the H2020 funded project SAbyNA project are hosting a workshop to present its prototype Safe-by-Design Guidance Platform. SAbyNA aims to design a decision support platform to help industry to implement safe-by-design (SbD)strategies for when they develop a new nanoform or a product containing a nanoform.
