European Safety and Sustainability Assessment: Fit for the Future

The NanoHarmony project, in which NIA is a partner, will be hosting a meeting in Brussels. Using the NanoHarmony experiences in line with the aims of AMI2030 and the Malta Initiative, to will discuss the way forward for a European Test Method Strategy for safe innovation and a strong European industry.


nanoSAFE + NanoWeek

Organized every two years in Grenoble since 2008, the nanoSAFE conference aims to share the latest research results on health and safety issues related to nanomaterials and beyond, for a socially responsible approach.

The 8th edition of the event will be held on June 5-9, for the first time in conjunction with the NanoWeek organized yearly by the NanoSafety Cluster. Registration is scheduled to open at the end of March, with further information available at this link.

In 2006, the German Ministry of the Environment (MoE) initiated a national stakeholder dialogue to discuss the introduction of nanotechnologies into products and processes. After more than 15 years of intense discussions among stakeholders from industry, science, authorities and civil society organisations, the MoE ends its patronage of the NanoDialogue with this International Conference on Nanomaterials that is organised in cooperation with the OECD. Nevertheless, the opportunities and risks of nanoscale materials remain a topic that the Federal Environment Ministry will address.

The Advanced Materials Show

The Advanced Materials Show will take place at the NEC Birmingham, Birmingham from 28th – 29th June 2023.

Spread over two  days, The Advanced Materials Show will offer an insight into current and future materials development, with experts from all sides of the industry in attendance.

NIA will be in attendance and our Senior Project Officer, Sean Kelly will be chairing the panel 'How to Harness Digital Technology to Reduce Costs and Expedite Innovation'.
