Today, Thursday 26 April, the REACH Committee adopted several modifications to the REACH Annexes to require specific information on nanomaterials.
In October 2017 the European Commission presented a draft Commission Regulation proposing a number of modificaitons to the REACH Annexes following a long discussion with Members States and Stakeholders. Today, after several meetings within the REACH Committee, composed of Member States, a text was agreed and voted upon. The text that was agreed upon has been revised following the original EC proposal. The next step for the agreed text is a 3 month scrutiny by the European Parliament and the Council before it comes back for final adoption by the European Commission.
