The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has announced that it is running a consultation on a 'reflection paper on medicines delivered using nano-sized block copolymer micelles'. It has written the document in collaboration with the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW)
The Working Party on Nanotechnology (WPN) of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is undertaking a project on the Responsible Development of Nanotechnology. It aims to identify policies for the responsible development of nanotechnology, as well as establishing how these policies are being implemented.

The Health and Food Branch of Health Canada published in November 2012 a 'Draft Guidance Document: Sunscreen Monograph'. The guidance document note that supplementary information needs to be collected and made available on request by manufacturers who include nanomaterials in their products.
