The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has launched a survey through a subcontractor (NovaMechanics Ltd) on the state of the art of carbon-based nanomaterial detection and quantification in environmental and biological matrices. The survey is part of a study which objective is to provide EUON and its stakeholders with an overview of available methods on the characterisation, detection and quantification of nanomaterials in complex matrices, as well as an insight into their readiness for standardisation.

NIA Members can send comments and relevant data (such as detection methods that they use/ offer as a service, research gaps and future research needs) to Blanca (blanca.suarez@nanotechia.org) by 25 October who will compile a response from the NIA based upon members’ feedback and our participation in recent projects.

Members can also complete the survey here themselves by the deadline 30th November. Click here to access the survey here.
