ECHA has just launched on 25 January 2017 a consultation for Competent Authorities for REACH and CLP (CARACAL) and the European Commission for a draft Appendix to Chapter R.6 of the Guidance on IR&CSA (QSARs and grouping of chemicals) on 'recommendations for nanomaterials'.
Stakeholders, including industry has previously provided comments to an earlier draft, and the comments provided at that time are also published by ECHA. In the near future, we are expecting three more ECHA guidance documents for nanomaterials to be published for similar consultations. Those Guidances will cover nanomaterial/nanoform, health and environmental aspects.
The consultation closes on Monday 20 February. Any NIA Members wishing to comment, should send you comments to later than Friday 17 February to David Carlander.
