The NIA reply to EFSA is published.
On January 12, 2018, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) launched a public consultation on their ‘draft EFSA guidance on the risk assessment of the application of nanoscience and nanotechnologies in the food and feed chain: Part 1, human and animal health’ (hereafter referred to as the Draft Guidance).
The Draft Guidance has now been assessed internally by NIA and our draft findings are provided in this Draft NIA Comments document with the intention to gather additional views from NIA Members.
NIA Members who wish to provide comment to these NIA Comments should do so no later than Friday 1 March 2018. Comments can be provided as track changes or as free text.
Once NIA has received comments from its Members, by the 1 March Deadline, NIA will finalise and submit the final NIA comments via the electronic submission platform provided by EFSA (http://registerofquestions.efsa.europa.eu/roqFrontend/consultation/doc/105) no later than 4 March 2018 12:00 p.m. CET) (the EFSA deadline).
