On 11 June 2019, the Commission published a call for data to get information on of gold, platinum and copper under the framework of the Cosmetic Regulation (EC) 1223/2009. 

The European Commission Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) has a dedicated Working Group on Nanomaterials in Cosmetic Products. The minutes from its meeting on 28th of March has recently been made available. 

At its meeting in March, the European Commission Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) discussed its revision of the Nano Guidance document. The minutes of the meeting indicates that the checklists for Applicant should also be revised.

The European Food Safety Authority arrange this meeting, with about 60 participants, mainly from industry, to gather first views and inputs on the EFSA 2018 ‘Guidance on risk assessment of the application of nanoscience and nanotechnologies in the food and feed chain: Part 1, human and animal health’

The European Commission Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) recently published a draft opinion on solubility of Synthetic Amorphous Silica (SAS). The draft is out for public comments until 17 May 2019.
