The European Union’s “One Substance, One Assessment” (OSOA) legislative framework entered into force on 1 January 2026. OSOA is intended to improve the efficiency, consistency and transparency of chemical assessments across EU legislation by strengthening data sharing and coordination between authorities responsible for chemicals risk assessment.
