The Nanotechnology Industries Association participated in the 25th meeting of the OECD Working Party of Manufactured Nanomaterials (OECD WPMN) this June, representing industry interests as Vice-Chair of the BIAC Nanotechnology Committee.
We've been busy across multiple OECD initiatives over the past year, making sure industry voices are heard on projects that matter to our members. Our teams have been working within the OECD Steering Group on Advanced Materials (SG AdMa), the OECD Steering Group of Safe and Sustainable Innovation Approach (SG SSIA), and the OECD Steering Group on Testing and Assessment (SGTA). The Guidance on Sample Preparation and Dosimetry (GSPD) got approval for declassification at this meeting—a win we've been pushing for.
NIA members get detailed reports on everything discussed at WPMN25, keeping our industry stakeholders in the loop on regulatory changes that could impact nanomaterial commercialization.
