As anticipated in its Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability, the European Commission has opened a stakeholder consultation as part of the targeted revision of the CLP Regulation (Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 on the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures).
Input is sought on the potential introduction of new classes of hazard, in particular endocrine disruptors, PBT, and PMT chemicals, and the expected impact for economic operators. The consultation closes on 15 November; further background as well as the questionnaire are available at this link.
