The Joint Research Centre (JRC) has published a technical Report from the 2019 meeting (remember them?) 'Global Summit on Regulatory Science 2019 Nanotechnology and Nanoplastics - Perspectives on nanotechnology and nanoplastics'.
The Summit was co-organised by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) and the Global Coalition for Regulatory Science Research (GCRSR).
The meeting concluded the need for increased collaboration to achieve consensus on terminology, definitions, sampling and characterisation of nanomaterials and the assessment of hazards and exposures. The challenges for regulators and scientists were further compounded by the growing number of different types of materials that contribute through their nano-size dimension.
