NIA is pleased to have contributed the Nanopinion 'Nanoplastics' - it's a name game, published on the European Union Observatory for Nanomaterials (EUON).
The Nanopinion presents a layperson's aproach to the challenge of presenting plastics at the nanoscale, explaining the difference between 'engineered' and 'incidental' and the importance of getting the terminology right. The article derives from the recently published NIA position paper 'Nanoplastics’ Use of suitable terminology for representation in waste, degradation of plastics and presence in the environment
