At its meeting in March, the European Commission Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) discussed its revision of the Nano Guidance document. The minutes of the meeting indicates that the checklists for Applicant should also be revised. The minutes also states that the 'SCCS Chair stressed that it is responsibility of Applicant to proceed with an up to date literature review in a systematic way and provide explanation why (on what basis) some publications are taken up or not (justification for rejection needed).
The NANO guidance is planned for adoption in the June plenary meeting should the Nano Working Group be able to finalise it.
