Under Regulation EU 2020/878 amending REACH, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) used for REACH compliance that were produced before January 2021 are only valid until 31 December 2022, and will therefore require an update as of January 2023.
The new requirements introduced by the amendment include indicating whether the SDS relates to substances including one or more nanoforms, by using the word “nanoform” in the product identifier in Section 1 of the SDS. Other updated requirements cover a simplified language and formatting of the SDS.
