The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has released a summary dossier of the Testing Programme of Manufactured Nanomaterials on Silver Nanoparticles.
Launched by the OECD’s Working Party on Manufactured Nanomaterials (WPMN) in 2007, the Testing Programme has collected information on 11 different nanomaterials. Dossiers and endpoints were published in the International Uniform Chemical Information Database (IUCLID) in 2016.
The present report, developed under Korean leadership and with the support of Germany, the United States of America, Australia, Canada, the European Union, France, the Netherlands, the Nordic Council of Ministers and BIAC (vice-chaired by NIA's David Carlander), summarises results of the dossier and covers physical and chemical characteristics, information on exposure, hazards to the environment, and toxicological profile.
