The latest OECD Chemicals and Biosafety Progress Report summarizes recent activities of the Working Party on Manufactured Nanomaterials (WPMN). Current work includes ongoing revision of sample preparation and dosimetry guidance for nano-objects, aggregates and agglomerates (NOAA), development of workplace exposure metrics for nano-objects, and initiation of case studies for advanced materials including 2D materials such as graphene and MXenes.
The report emphasizes the need for method harmonization and improved metrics for exposure, transformation and life-cycle behavior of nanomaterials. NIA produced a detailed report on OECD WPMN 2025 activities in August 2025, which is available to members.
