NIA’s Director of Regulatory Affairs, Blanca Suarez, was invited to speak at the 9th Annual Summit on Regulations and Compliance for Cosmetics, hosted in Brussels by the European Responsible Person Association (ERPA).
Her presentation, “Towards an EU Harmonised Definition of Nanomaterials: Implications for the Cosmetics Sector,”explored the challenges and opportunities the cosmetics industry faces with the adoption of the European Commission’s 2022 recommendation for a nanomaterial definition. NIA’s participation highlighted nanomaterial characterisation and facilitated discussions with other associations, the European Commission, and industry stakeholders.
Presentations and further discussions on this topic are available to NIA members upon request at blanca.suarez [at nanotechia.org.
