The Horizon Europe-funded IRISS Project has reached an important milestone with the publication of a new roadmap aimed at providing practical guidance for the application of the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework in industry. This roadmap is a key resource for companies looking to align with evolving regulatory expectations while embracing innovation that prioritizes both safety and sustainability.
Among the contributors to this initiative are members of the Nanotechnology Industries Association (NIA), including the University of Birmingham and the BioNanoNet (BNN). The roadmap builds on years of collaborative research and development under Horizon Europe’s drive to make sustainability central to the European innovation ecosystem.
