The European Observatory on Nanomaterials (EUON) has published an open invite for interested parties to suggest topics for upcoming studies in the area of nanomaterials that can be as a desk top study during a 3-9 month time period. The suggestions should be submitted before 15 Jaunary 2020.

EUON states:

The EUON is looking for topic suggestions that could be addressed in its upcoming studies. Up to 3 studies are conducted annually to address knowledge gaps on nanomaterials that are of interest to the general public and the research community.

The EUON is looking for studies that address:
  • questions relating to the health and safety of nanomaterials, including hazard and risk assessment, exposure to nanomaterials or worker safety and protection;
  • specific issues surrounding the uses of nanomaterials; or
  • information about markets for nanomaterials, focusing on EU markets.
The scope of the study can be on nanomaterials in general, a specific nanomaterial, or a defined group of nanomaterials and it should be possible to execute within 3 to 9 months. The studies should be based on desk research and surveys and should not require laboratory research.

NIA will follow up EUON request specifically within its Members Network.
