The EU Observatory for Nanomaterials (EUON) and ECHA are collecting information for a study on nanomaterials biodegradation. As part of the work, which is being carried out by NIA member NovaMechanics, two surveys are currently open for companies' input.
The first questionnaire covers nanomaterials biodegradation, while the second looks at the safe-by-design (SbD) approach to nanomaterials design and production, to assess to what extent it takes into account biodegradation.
All interested stakeholders are invited to participate in the study. Participants can request the confidential treatment of the information provided, and will have the opportunity to request early access to the final report. There is also the option to provide information via an interview instead of the questionnaires (the request can be addressed to survey@novamechanics.com).
