The SCCS has published their updated opinion on the safety of hydroxyapatite in nano form, concerning only to rod shaped materials. According to the SCCS hydroxyapatite is safe to use in a upper range of 10% in toothpaste and up to 0.465% in mouthwash products. Read the opinion.
