The IRISS project started in 2022 with the goal to better connect and transform the safe- and sustainable-by-design (SSbD) community in Europe and globally, working towards a holistic integration of safety, climate neutrality, circularity and functionality aspects.
The project is holding its first open workshop on Friday 25 November: the digital event will discuss the application of the SSbD concept in materials and chemicals, covering among others:
- How the existing safe-by-design tools can be used to define SSbD;
- How sustainability can be evaluated at the design phase of products and processes development;
- The value chain perspective on the implementation of SSbD.
