A joint one-day meeting between RSC Toxicology group and the UK NanoSafety Group.  This meeting is looking to provide information and examples of best practice in the successful and safe commercialisation of nanomaterial based products. Those who should attend include: safety professionals, compliance managers, plant managers, general managers and those working with nanomaterials in industry or have an interest in the safe production of nanomaterial based products and services. It is also looking to attract academics who may be seeking to “go commercial” with a nano based product.

Following the success of the February 2017 NIA open webinar on regulatory priorities, NIA is pleased to host a second open webinar on priorities for researchers and industry in the development of nanomaterials.  We are delighted to combine the webinar with a welcome to new NIA Member VITO, who will present their nanotechnology research capability and their own perceptions of priorities for research and innovation.

The webinar is open to all and will discuss how nanomaterial priorities are evolving in 2017 and how organisations can plan and manage long term sustainability.

As part of its Funding Tracker service for members, NIA will host its second 2017 meeting.  The webinar will highlight R&D funding opportunities for the development of nanomaterials into multiple sectors, with the focus of this meeting on SME funding programmes, such as the SME Instrument, Eurostars and other mechanisms.

NIA Member webinar: Regulatory priorities and current activities

NIA hosts its second 2017 webinar that focuses on current regulatory priorities and activities open for member feedback at national and international level.

The first 2017 webinar in February saw Regulatory Affairs Director David Carlander discuss with members around topics including the nanoform testing and national directories.  On May 24, the webinar will discuss all currently relevant topics, including REACH annex modification and nanomaterial definitions.  Members will be notified of initial agenda in May and can nominate topics of importance for inclusion.
