As an application-oriented service provider, Fraunhofer Nanotechnology brings the fascinating properties of materials on the nanoscale into new products and applications together with its customers. 15 institutes of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in Germany contribute their expertise to Fraunhofer Nanotechnology, covering almost all R&D aspects of nanotechnology and paving the way to new exciting product and system solutions.
Fraunhofer Nanotechnology offers R&D services ranging from advanced synthesis of nanostructures, chemical and physical methods for the fabrication of thin films, particles, fibers and nanocomposites to process technology for nanomaterials and scale-up of production technology. Furthermore, testing the lifetime and reliability of nanosystems, nanoanalytics and the assessment of trends in nanotechnology are important cross-cutting topics.
The aim of all these activities is to exploit the realistic development potential of nanotechnology and to offer R&D services for the entire value chain of nanotechnological products.
