On behalf of its members, NIA commented on the Inventory of Substances used in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) to be be used as a basis for future reviews of the European Union’s List of Restricted Substances (Annex II of the Restriction of the use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS2) Directive).
The list, drafted by Environment Agency Austria (Umweltbundesamt Österreich) aims to create an inventory of the substances used in EEE; in the current version the inventory refers to a number of nanomaterials and broad categories based on the nano-scale features of materials.
