An ‘action plan for synthetic nanomaterials’ that was developed by numerous Swiss Federal Offices has been extended until 2019. Adopted by the country’s Federal Council in April 2008, it ‘illustrates the work required in Switzerland for the safe handling of nanomaterials’

ECHA has published a revised version of its ‘Chemicals in our life’ section for the general public, which describes ‘how chemicals can be used safely in our daily life both at home and at work’. There are a number of mentions of nanotechnologies in here, although the main one is contained in a section on ‘hot scientific topics’
