NIA accepted as Registered Stakeholder to EFSA

NIA has been accepted as  Registered Stakeholder to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).  EFSA provides independent scientific advice to the decision makers who regulate food safety in Europe, with the mission to protect consumers, animals and the environment from food-related risks.

This is increasingly relevant for nanotechnology, with opportunities throughout the food production chain, including agricultural inputs, animal health, environmental protection and food processing.

As a Registered Stakeholder, NIA will be directly in contact with EFSA for stakeholder updates and consultations, enabling us to serve members within an expanding sector for nanotechnology.
