ECHA consults CARACAL on Nanomaterial Draft Guidance for Grouping and Read Across

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has released a public version of the draft Guidance on recommendations for nanomaterials applicable to QSARs and grouping of chemicals sent for CARACAL consultation, the Competent Authorities for REACH and CLP (CARACAL) are now invited to comment upon this text. 

The deadline for the consultation is 20 February 2017. 

The draft guidance provides information to industry how to group and justify the use of data from within the same substance. The guidance is an appendix to Chapter R.6 of the Guidance on IR&CSA on QSARs and Grouping because general concepts on grouping of chemicals are applicable to nanomaterials.
