NIA invites its Members to contribute to the Association's reply to the calls for information issued by the European Commission Directorate General for the Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROWTH) in the framework of the Regulation on Cosmetic Products 1223/2009. The EC has been calling for ‘any interested parties’ to provide relevant safety information on the safety of the following three substances, ‘in particular data regarding all toxicological end-points and an indication on the suggested concentration safe limits for these ingredients’:
- Colloidal silver (nano)
- Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer (Nano)
- Sodium Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer (Nano)
The European Commission will close the three calls for data on 30 June 2015.
