The caLIBRAte project is represented in the workshop 'Novel materials and nano-risk in semiconductor industry', a satellite event at SEMICON Europa.

The workshop, hosted by NIA Member IMEC, will inform how and where nanomaterials are used in typical semiconductor   fabs, based on the findings of the NanoStreeM project. These findings will be discussed in view of the emerging regulations for engineered nanomaterials use in Europe. In particular, an overview will be given to the new aspects of REACH annexes for nanomaterials. The workshop will further outline suitable risk assessment frameworks, which are applicable to engineered nanomaterials used in semiconductor industry and novel materials in general. The meeting will conclude with a panel discussion on the steps necessary to further enable use of nanomaterials throughout the industry and appropriately govern the emergent risks.

Visit the workshop here HERE and join us on the day.

SEMICON Europa is the largest European electronics platform connecting industry leaders across the entire manufacturing supply chain. It attracts a highly influential audience from every segment and sector of the European microelectronics industries including semiconductors, LEDs, MEMS, printed/ organic/ flexible, and other adjacent markets. NIA will of course be in attendance.
